My preferences
Description
The My preferences view lets any signed-in user set how the workspace behaves for
them. It is reachable from the Preferences group under Settings and via the direct
URL /preferences. These controls previously lived on the My tokens
(/profile) view; that view now holds only account identity, tokens, data export, and the
account-deletion actions.
The view contains:
- General
- Language — switches the interface language (English / German). The choice is saved to your account and follows you across sessions and devices.
- Enter key — sets whether pressing Enter in the chat composer sends the message (default) or inserts a newline (in which case Ctrl/Cmd+Enter sends).
- Display currency — the currency (EUR or USD) that budgets and costs are shown in across the app. This is a display setting only and is independent of your language — amounts are always stored and enforced in USD.
- Default model — the model new chats start with. This is a soft preference:
- An explicit per-message model pick, or a project's pinned model, always overrides it.
- When the chosen model is unavailable (no production gateway currently serves it, or a local-only project would be broken by a cloud model), the gateway falls back to the cheapest available model rather than failing the chat.
- Leaving it on Auto keeps today's behaviour (the cheapest available model is picked).
- Personal AI preferences — your preferred name, work role, and custom instructions, which the assistant applies to tailor its replies.
Availability
Every signed-in role sees the My preferences view; all controls are personal and carry no role gate.
