Create a video
What it does
The assistant can make a short video clip from a description, or animate an image that is already in the chat or that you attach. The clip is made on Myra's own EU-hosted video service. Clips are 4 to 10 seconds long, with sound by default.
The clip is made in the background. The reply ends at once, and a placeholder with a progress bar shows in the message. A clip usually takes 1 to 3 minutes; with Wan 2.2 it takes about 4 minutes. You can close the tab or reload — the clip is still there when you come back.
Video generation has to be switched on for your gateway, and the model must be able to use tools. It works only in a saved conversation. Ask your administrator if the assistant says that it cannot make videos.
How to ask
Describe what happens in the clip. You can also give the length, the format and whether you want sound. The requests below are examples in words; video clips are not part of our automatic prompt tests, so they are not shown as tested prompts.
- A clip from a description. Ask for example for a 5-second video of a small sailing boat on a calm lake at sunrise, the camera slowly moves closer.
- Portrait format, no sound. Ask for an 8-second video in portrait format for a phone screen: coffee is poured into a white cup, close-up. No sound.
- Animate an image from the chat. Choose Animate under the image. The message box then contains a draft, for example "Animate image
into a short video." Add the motion you want, for example the leaves move in the wind and the light changes slowly, then press Send. - Two versions to compare. Ask for two short videos of a red kite flying over a beach: one in the morning light, one at sunset.
- Continue a clip. Choose Continue under a finished clip. The draft "Continue this video from its last frame (video
)." is placed in the message box. Add what happens next, for example the boat reaches the shore, then press Send.
Tips
- Describe one scene and one movement. Say what moves and how the camera moves ("the camera slowly moves closer").
- Say the format if you need one: "portrait format" for a phone, "square" for social media. The default is landscape.
- Say "no sound" if you want a silent clip. LTX-2.5 clips have sound by default.
- Ask for Wan 2.2 by name only if you want that model. It makes 5-second silent clips and cannot start from an image.
- To animate a picture, attach one image (PNG, JPEG or WebP, up to 10 MiB) or use Animate. With two or more images in one message, the assistant asks which one to use.
- The actions under a finished clip (Again, Render in 1080p, Continue) do not send anything. They put an editable draft in the message box. Change it, then press Send.
- Render in 1080p makes a new clip with the same settings in a larger size. It is not an upscale, so details can be different.
Limits
- At most two clips per reply, and at most two clips being generated for you at the same time. Wait until a clip is finished before you ask for more.
- At most four media items per reply in total (images, clips, charts and audio share the limit).
- Lengths: LTX-2.5 makes 4, 5, 8 or 10 seconds; Wan 2.2 makes 5 seconds.
- The description can have up to 2000 characters.
- Only in a saved conversation. A private (ghost) chat cannot make videos.
- Continue works only for LTX-2.5 clips that were requested less than 24 hours ago.
- Video generation is not available in local-only projects and not in scheduled or automated agent runs.
- Video generation currently runs as a test on a single backend. It can be unavailable at times.
The full rules are in Video generation.
When something goes wrong
- The assistant only describes a video in words. Video generation is not switched on for your gateway, or the model cannot use tools. Ask your administrator, or pick another model.
- The assistant says that two videos are still being generated. You already have two clips in progress. Wait until one is finished, then ask again.
- The assistant says the service is busy or unavailable. No clip was started. Try again in a few minutes.
- The placeholder changes to a failed card. The video service could not finish the clip. Ask for the video again.
- "Video generation seems to have stalled." The chat stopped waiting. Reload the chat later to check again, or ask for the video again.
- Continue is refused. The source clip is older than 24 hours, or it was not made with LTX-2.5. Ask for a new clip instead.
- There is no Animate button under an image. Animate is shown only to the conversation owner, when video generation is available, for a PNG, JPEG or WebP of at most 10 MiB. For an upload, only the last image of the message has the button.
- You want to stop a clip. Choose Cancel on the placeholder. Only the conversation owner sees this button.
