Connect SharePoint, GitHub and other tools
What it does
Connectors (MCP connectors) let the assistant read from and act in other services while you chat, for example search a SharePoint site, read a GitHub repository or look through Gmail. A connector is added once, from the connector directory or as a custom connector by its server URL. Then each person connects their own account, so the assistant reaches only what that person is already allowed to see.
How to ask
Set up the connector first, then ask in plain words.
- Add the connector. An administrator opens Settings → Connections → MCP Connectors and chooses Add from directory. A user can also add a personal connector under My MCP Connectors with Add from directory. Pick the service, for example Microsoft SharePoint or GitHub.
- For Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft OneDrive the dialog asks for your Microsoft Entra tenant ID (the Directory GUID from the Entra admin center). Enter it once.
- Each user opens My MCP Connectors and chooses Connect in the row of the connector. For a connector with OAuth you sign in at the provider and approve the access; you return to the page and the status shows Connected.
- Open a chat and ask for what you need. Say which service you mean. For example: "Search our SharePoint for the latest travel policy and summarise it." Or: "List the open pull requests in our GitHub repository."
Set up a connector from the chat
You can also ask the assistant in the chat to set up a service, for example "Connect Todoist." For services that connect in one step it shows a card with a Connect button. The flow, the services and the notes are described in Set up a connector from the chat.
Tips
- Add one connector per service. Connectors are used in the next chat message after they show Connected.
- Name the service in your request, so the assistant picks the right connector.
- Actions that change data, such as writing or deleting, may wait for a person to approve them first. See Approvals.
- Each person connects with their own account. A colleague's connection is not shared with you.
Limits
- The connector directory lists every available connector, including Gmail, Slack, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft OneDrive, GitHub, Atlassian and Todoist. Anyone who is allowed to create connectors can pick any of them; no administrator has to enable an entry first.
- At most 8 connectors are used in any one message.
- A connector you set up from a chat card is not always added to that chat's tools (a chat uses at most 8). See Set up a connector from the chat.
- A ChatGPT account cannot be connected. Your ChatGPT chats, memories and projects are not visible to the workspace. OpenAI models are available through the gateway instead: pick one in the model list, or use your own OpenAI API key (see OpenAI).
- A ChatGPT data export cannot be imported. There is no import for it. Upload the documents you need to a project instead (see Projects).
- Connectors cannot be used with Google Gemini, Vertex AI, AWS Bedrock and Perplexity models. Pick a model from another provider.
When something goes wrong
- The connector I need is not in the directory. The directory lists the connectors Myra provides. If the service you need is not among them, you can still add any MCP server by its URL with New connector under Settings → Connections → MCP Connectors.
- I cannot find Settings → Integrations. There is no such page. Connectors are under Settings → Connections.
- The status shows Not connected or Reconnect needed. Choose Connect or Reconnect in the row and sign in again.
- The connector rejects the credential. Check the token and try again. Nothing is stored until the connector accepts it.
